A URL slug is the readable last part of a web address, and a clean one is easier to share, read and maintain. When you have a long list of titles, doing it by hand is slow, so a free bulk URL slug generator saves time: paste up to 1,000 lines, pick hyphen, underscore, dot or no separator, and the slugs appear as you type.

A few details matter in practice. Accents should be stripped (é becomes e, ß becomes ss), and Cyrillic and Greek can be romanized; the guide on transliterating slugs from accents, Cyrillic, Greek and Chinese explains the options. You can drop stop words from an editable list and cap the length by words or characters without cutting a word in half. For the basics, see what a URL slug is and SEO best practices.

If you are working from a spreadsheet, the bulk CSV slug generator with 301 redirects adds slug and URL columns and writes 301 redirect rules for Apache, Nginx and Cloudflare, which helps when you change many addresses at once. Developers can also copy a matching slugify() function in JavaScript, Python or PHP, and the kebab-case, snake_case and camelCase converter helps with naming in code. For cleaning text first, the page to remove accents and diacritics from text is handy.

It is free, needs no account and runs in your browser.
